Addo Elephant National Park, Western Region, Eastern Cape

A short distance from the little village of Addo in South Africa's malaria-free Eastern Cape province and only a ten minute drive from the renowned Addo Elephant National Park with its big five and numerous other species, is found a variety of lovely accommodation at De Old Drift Guest Farm.

We are situated next to the Sunday River, which is convenient for guests who enjoy fishing. You can sit on your private stoep and experience the tranquility of nature. Sometimes kudu, nyala and rooibok come down from the hills to drink at the river. Short walking trails and a rich birdlife can be enjoyed.

De Old Drift offers a variety of comfortable accommodation in tastefully furnished rooms. All 4 bed and breakfast bedrooms are air-conditioned with good quality linen and handmade Oregon pine furniture. Each with twin beds and its own en-suite bathroom (with shower)and a private patio overlooking the mountain. Each room is also equipped with a bar fridge and facilities for making tea and coffee.

Our family flat has two air-conditioned twin bedrooms, a bathroom and a sitting room.

Also available is a thatched self-catering cottage. It has two bedrooms with an open plan kitchenette/dining area with en-suite shower. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes both a microwave and a conventional oven. This cottage also has its own braai facilities and a patio for sitting out.

New self catering unit: Open plan living areas with separate bathroom (shower and bath) unit is very private with own patio and undercover braai area. Sleeps 2 people and has sleepers couch for children.

For guests who wish to socialise there is a spacious thatched lapa with bar facilities and for cooling off on hot summer days there is also an 8m swimming pool.
